A quick workaround would be to export the 0:05 clip in native format, and re-import it for the Twixtor treatment. Or maybe if the clip was on its own track? (just a guess- I only use Twixtor in Combustion)

What is the source you are capturing? Most likely, you have too hot a signal going in. (sorry if that is blatantly obvious)

I think if you download the full package it functions as a time-limited and/or watermarked trial version.

I think the Sapphire plugins will run in Premiere as well. I use them frequently in Combustion. A bit pricey, but worth it — very fast, and very clean.

If you are doing SD DV, maybe.
Do a search on “Storage Area Network” or “SAN” and “video”.

A lot depends on where you need realtime playback.

I don’t have Premiere open, but I seem to recall it’s “Ctrl+K” (for ‘Kut’?); it should split your selected tracks at the playhead point.

File Sequence (TGA,DPX, etc.) | QTime Animation/100% | QTime PNG/100% | AVI Uncompressed

Next best: QTime JPEG/95-100%

Then: ProRes, h.264, etc.
