I’ve had the MC Color since the beginning of 2010, I find it pretty good overall, programmable to your specific needs and has an advantage in feel and build quality for me over the Wave. I have no intention of switching to the Wave, perhaps the Cooper is the way to go, or if the jobs get big enough, the proper panels…
Gawd, it’s frustrating though, just sitting here at the whim of manufacturers with no information, if it’s no, then that’s cool, just tell us so we can get on with investment elsewhere.

On the subject of panels, is there a list of panels which are in the development stage of being supported? I’m thinking MC Color here, of which noone from either Avid or Blackmagic seem to want to discuss, all the communication i’ve seen on the subject seems to be a little hostile, which isn’t a good sign…

Hi Alex, been looking into the same thing myself, however I saw at the end of that post you mention that the author had problems after an update and it no loner worked, could you possibly provide your exact spec on the Forum to aid others looking to build a more space saving Ultrascope system: https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/124/871922
That would be grand…!

December 2, 2010 at 10:35 am in reply to: DaVinci Resolve for Mac Configuration Guide, November 2010As ATI is now supported is there a slim chance that the cards which were shipping with the 8-core machines earlier this year (ATI 4870) may work for the GUI, or are they fundamentally different to the 5000 series?
I ask this before I rip my machine apart.

Yep, I’d go for a wiki, it can be moderated and made into logical section based on topic, rather than a thread which can get a bit out of control…
I’d suggest making it as a bookmark on this forum though, like ‘Read Here First’ or something..

Avid’s response is pretty much the exact opposite of what BMD have said. BMD say that they release the resolve api and avid develops… so basically this implies nothing is happening…if this is the case, hopefully the BMD business model is based on selling software units and not their control surface…and we see some development soon. Not holding my breath…

Those using Scopebox, as there is no signal loop from Scopebox, and I’m not sure these capture cards are duplex capable, how are you monitoring to the other machine, from SDI out from the screen or from the second output of the Decklink? I was wondering what you do in cases where you’re in a dual link situation.. I’m a Blackmagic virgin, coming from AJA…

Ho Joshua, would you mind posting the exact spec of your Micro Atx machine, I’m really keen to get a micro-atx setup of the scope and slot it into my edit desk, instead of yet another massive computer case.
Many thanks!
