    No effects or transitions. It isn’t everything on the timeline that is choppy. It’s about a third of the clips. They were exported from Davinci all clips have the same resolution and codec.

    I figured it all out eventually.

    I opened the package contents on my most recent back-up. I then inserted the working files from my previous library into the new library (the backup one.) Once there I was able to relink everything properly from their new location with their new structure.

    I’m guessing the file structure for re-linking was wrong. I kept getting a message saying the file length, audio changes, etc. were incorrect and couldn’t be linked.

    Resolved. I had a camera video file as my first file. Put it into a fold and runs smoothly.

    Just to make sure are you talking about the thumbnail Cache Files or something else?

    In terminal write in this code. Do not copy in the $ sign as it is the prompt and terminal automatically does it. For me this wasn’t instant, but later in the day it finally worked. Also make sure to copy everything correctly.

    $sudo rm -Rf ~/.Trash/*

    mpeg 2 or mpeg 4 and would you suggest going through compressor or quick time conversion?
