I’m on the fence to get a new MacBook Pro or go the extra mile and get a Mac Pro.
Just wanted to see if anyone has any benchmarks with the Mac Pro and vegas.
I’m looking to add 4k this year and would like to get as close to full preview as possible. -

ver 12 just has a few more bugs to work out, they have come a long way with the fixes/builds we got and i hardly crash anymore.
i just can get more consistent results from ver 10 or 11
All my other programs work fine IE CS6 -
I have got new blue working well in all versions, but i still have a few random crashes in 12. I have gone back to 11 and 10 and i am getting MUCH faster render speeds than 12 with the same settings.
Go figure.
waiting for a fixed vegas pro 13 or 14!! -
I would love to demonstrate how fast and often vegas pro12 will crash.

The project window in vegas has always had this problem. Thumbnails dont work the same in explorer, you can see every thumbnail.If you really want a bigger problem, load your bin with 200 avchd 60p clips and watch vegas explode.
Why sony cant fix this or the time it takes to “build Peaks” is beyond me.

Mike Kujbida offered this tip from Paddy and it worked for me!
Please navigate to the following folder (make sure hidden files and folders are being shown):
C:Users[your user name]AppDataLocalSonyVegas Pro12.0Media Pool Thumbnails
Select all of the contents of this folder, and delete them. Then launch Vegas again, and you should be back in business.

Yes, I had to finish up my 12 projects using explorer to get clips in and other hoops.
I’m starting my new project in 11 until 12 gets fixed. Thanks for the older build info.
