Here is the C4D file, I striped it down to the bare minimum but all the settings should be there. I did a test render to make sure that it is still doing that two color thing, and it is. Please let me know what you think.
When I’m testing I usually have the render settings turned down to smoothing and AA for hair render tab set to none. But I left the file as where I would do a fairly accurate test render. It takes me about 5minutes to render out with these settings. What I’m saying is I appreciate your effort and patience with this. I think this problem has plagued me for a few years now and I still have no solution.

I hope there are no problems with the link it’s been awhile since I’ve posted a project!

I did that but nothing happens. I can get the actual emitter to follow a path, what I was hoping for was a way to get the actual particles to follow the path of the spline without using espresso (I’m terrible with it!)

SNAP! Never thought of that…
Brilliant! Thanks Brian.

Thanks Adam,
I’ve used the plane method before and seems to work fairly well. Would be nice if the boys at Maxon could implement something to this effect in the future.
Thank you for your expertise, you have always been a help to my work!
Turned out fairly well. But the JPEG doesn’t do much justice on the web!

Hi Brian,
A quick question…I have a compositing tag set already and if I set the ratio to 0% then the object receives no GI at all. I want GI just not the remnants of light from my luminous material nearby. Is there a way to to achieve this without the pain of setting alternative lighting for the object?
Thanks for your help man!

I believe you are right, I suspect I’m running into some compound gamma. Going to tweek a few things and see what happens.

That’s what i figured but its not working out that way, I’m suspecting that a cause might be the cloner I’m using. At any rate there’s always more than one way to skin a cat in Cinema! Thanks for the reply!

Thank you very much! It took a bit to find, for some reason the only way I could get to configure via the attributes was through the edit drop down in the view port.

Thanks Adam, I have already set it to low and to no effect. However I did try the layer browser option and that worked like a champ. My view-port works and looks just fine again so I can go back to work.
I just put all my arrays and cloth stuff in the browser and turned it off. I could be wrong but by simply turning it off in the object manager video must still calculate the object even though they are not visible. Putting things in the browser (i think) removes this tedious task to free up the meat and potatoes!
Thanks man!
