yeah, making the hold keyframe would probably be the simplest, i definitely don’t want to separate them into separate layers, that would be a pain

yeah, i’m trying to pull out through the metal of the safe’s door. the motion blur can compensate for some of the effect to cheat it a bit but i’m having a hard time coming up with the way to simulate going through a three dimensional door.

do you mean like things that would actually be inside the safe? i’m going for more of a nebulus feel, almost like you’re stuck in the middle of really dark clouds with lots of motion.

I’m creating a solid layer in AE then pasting the path from Illustrator into that solid layer. Should I create a mask in the layer? I thought about it and tried it but it didn’t work. Maybe I didn’t do it right.

yeah, guess it is kind of gross. i’m just the editor though. could be a cool effect if it is pulled off right. the bezier warp may do the trick. anyone know about the liquify tools on AE? i haven’t tried them out.

yes, there is the outline of a city at the top of the hill that the camera is going up to. the city is tilted back at 340 degrees. it gives it a bit of perspective but the solid that is the hill is not working out. i’m thinking it may work better to just use the solid as a thin line of the horizon instead of a large hill.
