Just for fun I installed an app called Super Scroll. With the Hover Scroll mode, I can get the FCPX timeline to scroll. It’s not a very smooth scroll and you can’t move the mouse, but it kinda works.

If you edit in a 1080 timeline, you’ll have to scale the video up past it’s native resolution. Definitely want to avoid that. If you edit in a 720 timeline, you can scale up and crop and stay within the native resolution. Then you can export at 640×360.

[Kevin Allmond] “Thanks. Now I’m curious, in looking at the adapters on Amazon, I have seen several “flavors”, ranging from $20-$250. Is there a right, or wrong one? If I am right, the $20ish ones do not have aperture control. Can I live without that?

I am interested in the Nikon adapters specifically, just for the fact that I have access to Nikon lens. If I do this, and it works out, I will likely start trying other lens makes.”

If you are going to use manual Nikon lenses, then you don’t need an adapter with an aperture, because the lens will have it’s own manually controlled aperture.Jason Jenkins

I’m not Peter, but I’ve been shooting with the GH2 for well over a year and have never had a heat issue. I did a room temperature test record once that lasted for seven hours and the camera was only slightly warm.

Bob,
I’ve used the SmallHD DP6 mounted on top of my GH2 while handheld. It actually worked out quite well to use it with the neoprene sunhood attached. I could squish my face into it comfortably and it added stability while blocking out extraneous light.
