After a little more research, I went back to the animated mask and created keyframes on every frame and set them to ‘hold’. When I went back to my retimed precomp, everything was as it should be 🙂

I bought mObject a while back, but have only really used it for one project so far. I also own Element 3D. They just updated mObject, so it now has more text presets and bevel options, and other cool stuff. Definitely worth the money; especially during this sale.

Is your boss JJ Abrams? He certainly has a flair for flare.

[Charlie Austin] “The built-in Color Board? Nope. But the Color Finale Plugin does have vectors…”
The Color Finale demo prompted the question. Now that I’ve seen it, I need it!

[Charlie Austin] “Nice to have options. 🙂 The color board is probably good enough for most people. If not, you can now get your (very nicely done) wheels/LUTS/Curves and more..”
Is vector based grading possible withe color board?

[Richard Crowley] “JK Audio makes a range of telephone interface products for basic interfacing.”
OK; trying to visualize the setup in my head. Can I just use a speaker for the local participants to hear the caller, or would it cause an echo or feedback due to picking up through the mics while simultaneously being recorded through the telephone interface?

[Richard Crowley] “There are solutions ranging from essentially free to several thousand dollars. Depending on what issues you need to solve, what is your budget, what is your level of quality expectations. etc.”
My client wants to see what we can set up for a few hundred.

[Alan Lilienthal] “There is a lot of info out there telling me not to plug a mic straight into the camera, but to get an external recorder like a Zoom h4 or something.”
You can get great results recording audio on-camera. Your mic, placement and external pre-amp (if necessary) will make all the difference.

[Ty Ford] “You could try getting some Iron Ferrite RF chokes and wrapping the mic cord around and/or through them as an experiment to see if they will scrape off the RF. “
Ty, I was ahead of you on this one! I had picked up some RF chokes at Radio Shack to test, but they had no effect in this scenario.
