I’m experiencing slower timeline operations and short ‘beachballs’. Overall, slower than the last version on my 6 core Mactubeâ„¢.

I edit primarily GH4 footage and I’m experiencing slower timeline operations and short ‘beachballs’.

[Brett Sherman] “Definitely worth it. It’s the only real curve solution available in FCP X. It’s a little awkward with dual displays, it keeps snapping back to the main display. And it is a bit buggy, crashes FCP X occasionally. But, I finally feel like I have control over the image.”
I haven’t had any bugginess except that the trial never expired. Now I’m afraid to pay for it for fear that it will stop working! And yes, I did report it to them.

[Lewis Stiefel] “I have been using those cards for a year now on countless shoots with no problems”
I believe you, but you didn’t answer my question. The stated requirement for 4k shooting is U3 cards.

Same issues with the AJA T-tap, but no difference with 10.2. I’ve started using the HDMI output on the Mac Pro instead. Perfectly in sync and no switching audio outputs. Yeah, I know it’s not baseband video, or whatever, but I can’t tell the difference.

I’ve got one of these: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/824149-REG/SanDisk_SDSDXPA_064G_A75_Extreme_Pro_64GB_SDHC_SDXC.html/pageID/accessory and one of the Panasonic branded U3 cards. No problems at all.
