Okay Bob, that works, but I still can’t playback directly out of fCP. I assume my problem needs to be taken to the FCP forum.

Thanks a bunch. No need to beat me senseless today 😉

My monitor only takes composite or Y/C. I connected my AJA directly to my monitor via s-video and I’ve got nothing…same thing
    with composite.

    I restarted my computer…didn’t help.

I’ve been having the same problem. i can right-click on the scale keyframes and select “smooth”, but not on the motion keyframes.

Someone else suggested I buy a RS232 to USB converter and create an easy setup for each deck.

So I hook up the Keyspan and FCP will automatically add USB/RS232 as an option for device control under A/V settings?

Wow! A friend just taught me a very simple way to accomplish this task. Log clips from Tape A, then open the capture window and drag each individual clip from Tape A into the capture window and change the reel name and clip name to “B”, or whatever. Then click “log clip”.
That’s it! It logs a different clip with the exact same timecode.

I guess I should have thought this through a little more prior to the shoot, huh?
