try a google search for free photoshop or illustrator shapes and you should find a site to download some ornament shapes.

A quick fix for this is to duplicate the clip. In the duplicated clip (above layer) create a mask around the problem area ie the upper lip, apply gaussian blur to desired amount and then feather the edges of mask. This technique has limitations, especially in regards to movement and quality, but if you’re subject is sitting still and the shot isn’t held too long then it can work.

If you’re AE knowledge is up for this then…
here’s a link to a TVC we did earlier this year, done in AE.

(Apologies for the poor encode)– Get a still of the paper texture you require, or just use the video images you want.
– Make the pages 3D by hitting the 3D switch for the layers
– Set the anchor point to the middle left hand side of the page (use pan behind tool), now rotate the page using the Y Rotaion. Set Rotation Keyframes for the beginning of the layer (When page is front on) and a keyframe for the end posion of layer (Once it’s turned)
– activate Motion Blur for the composition and each layer and you should have something that looks okay. Not super realistic but okay nonetheless.I also duplicated the pages, used levels and transparency and offset the keyframes by 1 frame to give the shadow effect of the pages turning. Hope that helps…good luck with the project.

Hi there,
Everything we do here in Melb Australa (PAL) is in UFF, from capture through to render for broadcast. As far as I know, Australia PAL is UFF so all footage taken in AE is interpreted as UFF and then in the Render set to UFF….never have any problems.

As far as I know an AE7 Project cannot be opened in earlier versions of AE.

Thanks for all the advice guys. I think I might just re-do the menus etc….shouldn’t take too long.
Thanks Again.

Thanks Jeff….I’m not sure how this will work as far as just replacing the VOB files…without actually going back into Encore. The DVD I have (Which was encoded and authored with Encore) with all the slides, menus etc, I no longer have the encore project for. So i just want to replace the video component of the authored DVD. I can do the encode of this new video in Prem Pro and then create VOB files…as you said in Decrypter, but then do I just replace the old VOB files in the already authored DVD with the new ones? Sorry if this isn’t making sense but thanks very much for your help so far.
Cheers
