  • Hi Serge,

I do have invig, hadnt thought of that. A cube would be easy enough i spose. For a sphere do you start with a tiny radius circle and add a halfpipe edge?

Also I havent tried going inside a model before. Will that work? and if so will my layer maps just be the same as I’ve set, except backwards given im looking from inside?

Thanks a lot for the idea Serge.

  • Thanks for that guys.

Thats what I was thinking basically.

The only other thing i’m going to try is making a large cube out of 6 solids, putting a camera inside it and somehow using an adjustment layer with CC Lens to make it all look sorta roundish. It doesn’t have to be precise, it’ll be pretty blurred as a background to animations moving infront of it.

Thanks for the help again Dave and Chris. You’ve both helped me before, I appreciate it again!

  • Thanks Jon,

Thats exactly as I thought. Was just hoping there be some other way so I didn’t have to do all the math.

    Thanks anyhow.

Im having the same problem. Switching back to a non orthographic camera hasn’t worked. You can see the model, but it has no colour, just black or greyscal if usiong reflections etc.

    very annoying.

  • Hi Teerav,

Using motion tracking I can get the locations of the points i need, but to apply them to my layer i want to be tracked i need to anchor points to be inset and repositioned from the very top/bottom left/right corners which corner pin is based on.

Essentially I need to do the corner pinning function, but with the ability to set my four “Corner Points” to be anywhere on my target layer that i want.

Hope this clarifies it, as I’d really appreciate any suggestions.

    Thanks again

Im having the exact same problem.

Worked alright to begin with then a few weeks later this problem started. Seemed around the time I updated to 10.4.7

I’ve reformatted and installed OS about 4 times and each time the exact smae thing.

  • Hi,

It got to the Initializing User Interface.

So incredibily infuriating. I checked and all software/Apple was totally up to date. Tried repairing permissions, though I only did it once. Didn’t work, and I am right now going through the process of reinstalling FCP and AE after doing a reformat and install.

Was desperate to get it going. Though now I’m tempted to got back to 10.4.7 and try again. Don’t want to have to go through this headache again though, probably better left as is for now.

    Thanks for the tip.

  • Hey,

I have been having the EXACT same problem since last week when updated to 10.4.7. Driving me insane, just re installed and didn’t help.

What sort of computer do you have? mines a MBP 2.16 with 2gb ram.

    Can anyone else help please?!?!?
