Adobe AECS3 and Photoshop Beta won’t work together, it says in the release notes you must first uninstall the Photoshop Beta. Not sure about Soundboth but it may be the same case.
I uninstalled the Photoshop Beta and AE is working for me. Instaled no problems.

Hey matt.
Thanks I’m really glad to hear that. I’ve been having a nightmare time with AE running under rosetta and Invig Classic, would crash after every third render or so as I had to do 150. Painful.
Don’t know if it was Invig or AE – i suspect the latter being emulated may have been the issue. So I can’t wait to try it out on the new native system!
Keep up the good work guys.

I downloaded fine about 5minutes ago.
And i think win and mac serials all work. you have to input it to get a new serial number for the beta.

Hey Dave,
I probably shouldn’t tell you this, but the time travel guy from Heroes has actually moved a large subset of the cow back back to the late 90’s.
That being said if you’ve seen this I have to kill you. Anyone reading this please email your home address and daytime whereabouts to youmustdie@hectorpro.com

Thanks for that. I’ve been searching the apple site but haven’t been apple to find it, you dont have a link or know what it’s under do you please?
Also i havent tried to take a native sdtream, into fcp before. I usually capture straight from the camera, ending up with quicktime captures. Can I take it straight in asthough i’d captured it in the classic way?
Thanks again.

Hi Aharon,
Never had a problem with it. Seems like a good level to me.
Keep up the good work, I watch religiously!

Hi Serge,
Nope, not gonna try and use 100 invigs – im using one with four objects in it and I’m struggling as is. I have an animation of a playing card flipping over, and i need to render it with each playing card on the face. Two different animations x 52 cards equals 104 animations. At the moment I’m rendering an animation, go back and change the layer map, re-render. Can you think of any simpler way to do this other than duplicating my comp 52 times?
I’ve had render failures before but never heard he sheep. caught me by surprise. I thought it may have been the yak thinng I’ve heard about, but I think im thinking of FCP there.
I tried rendering my movie, bringing it back in and applying cc force motion blur but it doesn’t seem to add any blur. I just added my re-imported video file to a new comp and added the effect. Is this incorrect – this effect can confuse me a little..
You helped me out with something last week too Serge but I think I never said thank you. I apologise for that. Thank you.
Take care.

January 5, 2007 at 12:34 am in reply to: My Layer maps not showing – sides say layer map with diagonal lines.Hi Matt,
It was just that image you get when using a layer map in draft mode. It’s working fine now – I restarted AE and it started appearing fine. Just wasn’t updating for some reason. Strange, it’d never not updated like that for me before.
But al’s well that ends in a well. I appreciate the speedy response too.
Thanks again Matt.

Hey guys,
I’ll preface this by saying I think i’m probably in a more niche situation than some, but certainly there are situations where you may need to do this.
I worked at a local community station on a news program, where we would often do stories on local groups or businesses. Many, MANY times we would be supplied vision owned by these people on DVD – these were typically community groups/small businesses who have shot and dvd’d stuff themselves ala iMovie/iDVD, or had it done for them by someone will skills little beyond iMovie/iDvd. The footage was always theirs, but small groups like this don’t know media, don’t keep raw footage etc.
It was all crap, low quality stuff. But we needed to rip the stuff almost day after day. Again I know this is a niche job, but there are gigs out there..
That being said I laughed as I read the first thread. Very creative, I never would have thought to ask Producer’s how to rip their own stuff myself…
Just for thought.
