I’m not sure if it has appeared when I started to work with Deckling. I think I have no problem to work in PPro with long clips long time ago but maybe I’m wrong. I cannot remember what codec was used those days if BMD 10bit or pure uncompressed AVI. Isn’t it some bug in newer drivers? Do you test different ones?

Hi Ray,
thank you very much for your reply. Now I know it’s probably not impossible, but I tried to reproduce your way with no success. Everytime I try to export to tape I get this annoying message. I am not sure if deck is set up properly, but there are not to many choices to try (and I thing I tried almost everything). Which Decklink model do you have? And are you PAL or NTSC guy? Sorry to bother you but can you specify more accurately your deck setup? I’m also thinking of purchasing ProVTR, but there is no chance to try it before buy unfortunately. I’ve got two Decklink machines (HD and SD) and both experiencig same behaviour.
I’ll be happy with any comment

Yes, audio has finished conforming and be sure that I tried to delete all preview and conformed files. It doesn’t help. There must be some software bug in PPro. It is incredibly slow even the taskmanager shows just 25% of CPU activity. I have read at several forums that it is common thing when working on larger projects… I am just curious if somebody luckily have heard something from Adobe about it or found some reasonable workaround.
Thank you anywayJaromir Pesr

Blackmagic disk speed test shows that my SATA RAID 1 Array (connected via Adaptec 2410 controller) can play 85 frames per second in 10bit 4:2:2 SD format which I’m using. And I have 4.8.1 drivers installed as well. When those dropouts occurs it’s even impossible to work even when I do not use JKL keys further. It seems that it is kicking a system some way and I have to restart PPro. But when I do not touch JKL and srub with Jog/shuttle controller everything does pretty good.

When I played with EDID option, I was able to force my LCD to have refresh rate 50Hz what is exactly twice of 25fps, of course. But the image was still interlaced.
I think my Sony monitor is the same as Apple one. It has the same size, options and even price. So, Kaspar, you can see on your LCD uninterlaced image? Video or extended desktop? Even in 24fps?
I’m just curious…Thanks

Stew,
I tried to disable ECC check in a Bios. I think that crashes are less often (can I say it in english?) but it’s hard to say. Maybe it’s just my feeling. I’m not able to precisely determine exact circumstances when it’s happen. What version of After Effects/QuickTime/Deckling drivers are you using? It seems we’ve got very similar system (Dual Nocona here too). I’m in contact with Blackmagic support guy about it but no usefull help there yet (It’s more complicated due to time zone gap). Did you get some support from them?
And finaly. What does Premiere do? Crashes? Freezes? I’m not able to test it thoroughly, I just played with SD footage and it works pretty well (even with ECC check on). But who knows…Sorry for too much qustions
PS: I have got this Error message from AFX https://www.intimate.cz/files/hdv/error.jpg

May 26, 2005 at 2:00 pm in reply to: Windows 4.8.1 – How to know if driver is installed correctly?Hi
I’ve just installed fresh new XP system and finaly 4.8.1 Decklink drivers. After reading this thread I’ve looked to device manager and surprisingly the drivers shows 4.7. Strange…Jaromir Pesr
