Windows 4.8.1 – How to know if driver is installed correctly?
Hello,
WinXP DeckLink HD Pro Single Channel user here. I believe I just updated to the 4.8.1 drivers. However I’m conflicted because when I look at my Device Manager->Display Adapters->Blackmagic DeckLink Display properties it stll says I’m on driver version 4.7.0.0
I just updated this morning by downloading the update driver from this link:
https://www.blackmagic-design.com/downloads/software/DeckLink_Windows_v4.8.1.zipOpening the zip file gives me the following file:
DeckLink_Windows_v4.8.1.msiWhen I opened it I initially chose to “Repair Blackmagic DeckLink” and it went through the motions and completed ok but after a restart I still saw 4.7 in the driver properties of my Device Manager.
So I tried again this time I chose to “Remove Blackmagic DeckLink” and then opened the msi app again to install the drivers. After a restart my Device Manager properties still shows version 4.7. However I do see version 4.8.1 in the readme file.
How do I check to make sure I’m really running the latest drivers?
