Your processor and OS are 64bit, but After Effects is still only 32bit,
This means that AE can use 4GB of ram in Vista64, but if you enable multiprocessing,
the extra render instances will use the memory wich is left.cya,

First question would be….
… why 4K ?
BluRay is a compressed HD (1080) format,
so upscaling to 4K will loose a lot of quality.FCP probably can handle it but how about your Video-card ?
Aja and Blackmagic have 2K-cards,
how about monitoring in 4K ?
You should edit offline in 1080 or 2K and make the online in some expensive 4K company.
browse the RED forums, it’s all 4K over there 😉With 4K 4.4.4 you’l need a lot of ultra-fast storage !
Xsan’s and fibre would do.cya,

The science/math is very simple and not needed:
If you place your cube in C4D at [0,0,0] and the size is (200,200,200), the front-plane of the cube will be at [0,0,-100]
Don’t forget the depth !Just prep everything in C4D; if you have an object where you’ll need the coordinates in AE, add the “External Compositing”-tag.
C4D will generate a layer in AE with the correct [x,y,z].
If you need to insert video at a certain place on an object, just make a Null at that point and tag it with the “External Compositing”.cya,

no need to start replacing footage,
Queue your comp,
make it a PSD sequence or movie with alpha channel,
In the output module, set the post-render action to “Set Proxy”,
after rendering your proxy will be linked automatically.next to your media you’ll have a proxy on or off switch.

[Rich Seemueller] “but gives no mask modes or actual paths”
You only get the mask-modes when your path is closed, use the pen mode or right-click and select >mask shape>closed.
If the first 2 are correct and for mask 3 & 4 AE shows 20 masks…
… you’re mask are probably broken in Illustrator itself.on the other hand, copying paths from Illustrator has always been a tricky thing 🙁
