I get the same weird luma levels when going composite out.
And there are no patch cables as i go directly from the breakout cable to the wfm.
This is really strange and i couldn’t find anything on the net regarding this.
Maybe the card itself is bad…

Solved my problem by putting the decklink in the middle pci-x slot.
Now I have 1 seritek sata card in the lower and one in the upper slot.
I know this is not recommended since the lower and the middle slot might slow each other down.
Seems to work though.
I can caputre 1080 50i 8Bit (haven’t tried 10bit yet) and both of my sata arrays operate at about 250 MB/s.Wish youd good luck with getting yours to work!

maybe I was too much in hectic to find it in the manual. But if this gotcha is not in there, how about adding it to the troubleshooting chapter?
Q: My decklink hd doesn’t want to capture hd. Did anyone put the wrong card in my box?
A: Don’t panic… you probably just mixed up your pci slots.I don’t know, maybe somehting like this….
With a little humour… but without reminding me too much of my inability to find it out by myself.

thanks for your quick help. The job’s over now and I couldn’t find a solution in time. The program I was working on was sd with hdcam source footage anyway, so no big deal. I just wanted to beef it up a little bit by adding some more close ups….
But I’ll let the facility know and they’ll be glad for this idea. Sounds like it should work. As far as I remember, the decklink was in slot 3 and another card in slot 2, while 4 was empty. But that other card was some kind of interface card with no cables attached. Would it also slow the decklink down if not in use?Cheers

Unfortunately that one is rather unknown in Germany.
I liked it. It was quite fun, although a little too glowy at some times.Jan
