the same happend to me a few days ago! When the endless grabbing was done I closed the project WITHOUT saving. Then I opened the last autosave version and my still page was nicely organized without the thousands of accidentally created stills. OK, I was losing 10 minutes of work.

Feature request: confirmation before generating more than 20 stills like:”are you sure to create 1.397 stils within your current still page?”

    Good luck.

The green lines are good for scoping your manually adjusted legal videosignal.
If you want an automatic legalizer, you can use one of the output LUTs from the configuration page. The output LUT will be used for your render. To adjust the range of the singnal to be compressed use a self generated LUT & the softness sliders. This scales your signal more in the hi- & lowlights and lesser in the midrange.

you might want to adjust the application specific screen size factor to see the full GUI on your small screen. Open the terminal and enter:

    • MacBook Pro 15″: defaults write com.blackmagic-design.davinci.Resolve AppleDisplayScaleFactor 0.85
    • MacBook Pro 13″: defaults write com.blackmagic-design.davinci.Resolve AppleDisplayScaleFactor 0.67

Resolve on a MBP is no fun, but works. I used the Lite version on my MBP just for testing things while reading the manual when I’m on the road.

Try the Lite version. Resolve Lite requires the same amount of processing power as long as you compare it to a 1 GPU system using 2 nodes.

I had the same problem. Enabling ‘To backup project’ and pressing ‘Refresh’ (after the first autosave) did work in my case.

  • The ability to zoom into curves or a bigger curve UI is on the top of my list.
Closely followed by curves for defining the lift, gamma & gain range (like “Brightness Regions” in Nucoda or in Autodesk compositing applications).

    Hi Andy!

Go to SYSTEM PREFERENCES | KEYBOARD | KEYBOARD and check “use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys”.

You may also have to disable the F-key shortcuts Expose & Dashboard etc (SYSTEM PREFERENCES | KEYBOARD | KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS).

Then your keyboard F-keys should work.
