  • FEATURE REQUEST POLL :is anyone interested on Bigger UI for the Main Curves ?

Posted by Gabriele Turchi on September 22, 2011 at 2:08 pm

Figured that if many will ask , BMD will listen…

i find the UI for the curves too small …i think curves are very powerful and design a a particular shape curve sometimes is crucial … so i would love to have the possibility to expand the curves bigger on the screen maybe adding also tangents to the points (like for the HUE curves ..)

    thanks

Yep, always wanted more pixels for those curves myself.

    Not on my list…
I want to get proper animation curves first.

    A slice of color…

I’d put animation curves waaaaay higher on my request list as well, but a ui adjustment for the curves would still be nice.

The space itself wouldn’t have to change. You’d just be able to zoom in and out like in lustre. And you’d have the background color guide like in Scratch. That would be my take.

I’m curious, what is meant by animation curves? Is it the ability to keyframe a curve to move?

The ability to zoom into curves or a bigger curve UI is on the top of my list.
Closely followed by curves for defining the lift, gamma & gain range (like “Brightness Regions” in Nucoda or in Autodesk compositing applications).

    yes!!

i would love to be able to “”restrain” a bit the range of Lift gamma and gain control …i feel they are a bit to “wide” …. i know i can make a luma selection …but it would be nice restraint the range of those control…

Yes restraining lift gamma gain would be very nice!
But bigger curves are also on my list, I almost never use them because I get frustrated with this fiddling around… 😉

Yes, I would love them too, but how much can you fit in that GUI? Unless they make them a floating window like the Scopes

What I do is ctrl + mouse zoom, not as quick but does the trick.

    Thanks Fred!
    that i a great trick !

PS i would like to add that i would love to have resolve supporting a dual monitor GUI setup and having the possibility to expand on the second monitor whatever window we like (like Nodes or curves or animation….)
