to work around it is that you have to sync your timecode in your editing program and switch between the after effects and editing program (where you put your audio down) to sync..
    far from the ideal situation.

Haven’t found a solution yet either, it’s driving me crazy..

    please advise

superb.. thank you very much, for these helpful tips.and taking the time to answer my question.

The only question i still have is that i’m only able to shoot 4 times, and my concern is, that it isn’t enough to make a proper timelapse/morph. so if you have any suggestions about that?

    thanks

April 27, 2012 at 11:18 am in reply to: convert imovie 08 to fcp7

in Imovie 08 there is indeed an export function xml for final cut..
so you can import the xml in fcp7, the edit was not perfectly copied but it was a huge time saver.. thanks for your responses

  • Pro res is indeed your best option but if you are editing for youtube Pro Res is a bit heavy.
Therefore you have Pro res Proxy and Pro res LT . This conversion is does not make the files as big and are easier on your system.

thank you for all your kind and very helpfull suggestions…in the meanwhile i got the editor, to send me another fcp friendly file.

but i’ve had it fixed in another way before a got the new file..

I all my desparation i used one more programme called imtoo dvd ripper. nothing special just a regular conversion programme, but when converting it to .dv it worked, the scale proportions were not perfect. and i eventually used the newly sended file.. but i had an image and sound without the pe codec package

too bad avid and fcp are not very file compatible

    thanks agian
