In the MX02 settings set audio capture for 24 bit audio. Pro CS6 does not support 16 bit audio for captures.
In PPRO, you have to configure output for MX02. However then you need to listen to MX02 output…. Say via hdmi cable

Set your audio capture for 24 bit audio!
    MX02 does this too!

    Ask me how I know!

I’m using PPRO CS6, and Matrox MX02, and the only issue I have had recently is related to capture mode….Captured a DV Tape (first in many a year!) and it went into scene detect mode during capture on it’s own…. Next time I tried a capture from Same DV Tape, it captured end to end, as expected…. ????
Operationally in the program however…. No issues… Happy as can be…. Encore solid too…

PS to above…. Nearly every version of beta had it’s own cleanup scripts….
    “Scorched Earth” removed EVERYTHING ADOBE…

Does Adobe have cleanup scripts for today’s PPRO versions, like they did 10 or more years ago?
If we were having this conversation in CS6 Beta, that would be the answer….. But I never left CS6

There was an option in the scripts: “Scorched Earth” that was quite good on cleaning all vestiges of ‘Everything Adobe’ when strange things like this occurs…

Exactly the reason I stayed at CS6!

Thanks for the suggestion…. I didn’t recall that being a Preference option, but I went and checked….. Nope! It’s not an option in Preferences….

So… went back into same project… and captured it all over again…. Did same thing as before… inserted tape, shuttled via Capture Control to start point, and hit record in capture…..

Surprise Surprise! This time it recorded as one clip!

Like I said before…. I doubt that I’ve done a DV Capture in 5 or more years…. Betcha it’ll be that long until the next one!!
    Thanks anyway…

  • CS6 on PC…
I have always inserted chapter stops in Premiere, but only as a location marker in Premier for reference…. Though I first Loved Export to Encore, I no longer use it, as the export to Encore is in RGB Colorspace (16-235) and I prefer YUV Colorspace (01-254)….. So I’m exporting for DVD or BR from Premiere using Encore, which drops all chapter stops….

That’s why I put chapter stops in Premiere….. After exporting the DVD or BR file, I write down on piece of paper the chapter stop locations…. and after the YUV Footage is imported as an asset in Encore, I then go into timeline and add chapter stops, from my paper notes…..

I was making a BR Test Pattern Display Alignment Disc. at high bandwidth capture, with many many chapter stops, and Encore CS6 had trouble playing that High bandwidth footage…. and so I used that trick to get chapter stops in correct location, by entering time in viewer, and then adding a chapter stop…..

This way, in my DVD or BR’s I get the chapter stops where I want them, and video in YUV Colorspace (01-254) too!!!

    Hope this helps…

  • Go back into Encore to project and test the project again….. and if it passes, then make a different named ISO.
