transcode is not very recommend , because the conversion progress will lose quality even you cna’t tell with your won eyes. But if you really have no ideal how to put your files into Vegas, then convert them to MPEG or other comaptible frmat.

xavc is good and much higher video quality. But it may hard for you to deal with them if you want to load into your premiere.

XAVC is still young and undevelpoed , maybe you can try to transcode them first, then reload to Pro12

Thx for your aticle .H.265/HEVC is still very young and undeveloped. And many NLEs can’t support this codec. Looking forward the update soon.

Easiest way is to convert your files then reload them into your software, this is just my advice

You definitely have to try this app . It’s called MXF Multimixer and I have asked their customer service , they assure me that this one support the XAVC codec.
Of course, I downloaded it and tried by myself, this one can support and work well , I have already loaded them into my Premiere and edit now !

    Tim
I am nor sure if Sony will offer some solution during this Holiday break time. So I find myself a third-party software. They claimed that they can solve the XAVC problem, so I download and have a try , it do transfer the MXF in XAVC codec. If you would like to try, this one I used is MXF Multimixer, they said that the Mac version will update in next week.
    So let’s pray….
