January 11, 2007 at 12:31 pm in reply to: Aspect ratio problems when going from Premiere to QuicktimeHi everyone
I think i figured it out. If i export as square pixels but still with 16:9 ratio everything seems to be fine.
Thanks anyway.

August 24, 2006 at 4:33 pm in reply to: Using Premiere and FInal Cut Pro together – Question please help meThanks again.
I have just tried that in FCP and it reckons about an hour to render for a 15 min sequence. Whilst using the mov option was only going to take about 20. Does that sound right to you.
Thanks again you’ve all been very patient.

August 24, 2006 at 4:17 pm in reply to: Using Premiere and FInal Cut Pro together – Question please help meI’ve been rendering out in FCP with DV PAL mov files. At 720 x 576 resolution. These are whats taking so long to render in prem.
In answer to the last post, We wanted to import a mov file created in Avid, prem wouldnt read it so we put it into FCP. That read it and then strated crashing all the time. SO then we reverted back to Prem. The only problem was that we had an interview cut up in FCP which needed to be put into the final sequence. So I tried again to put the Avid mov into prem and i managed to get it to work after downloading a codec. Then i exported out the interview in FCP and put that into prem. This is whats taking so long.
Why is it that a video file in 720 x 576 res with DV-PAL compression takes so long to pass between the 2 editing systems.
Thanks again guys for all your help.

Thats good advice, but they are all completely different sizes, 3 are one size, 5 are a different res, 4 are another then there’s about 5 that are all completely random sizes.
Is there anyway to do that easily.

thanks for all the tips. I’m still having a problem, even with CR switched on it still looks a little blocky. I’ve tried bumping it up in illustrator by a factor of about 4 and that still doesnt work. Can anyone help me.
Many thanks

I have to prepare loads of footage for the web, some of it comes in 16:9 and some in 4:3. It all needs to go onto the web in its original format.
Any advice
