  • Re-sizing Layers In timeline

Posted by Jamie on November 11, 2005 at 2:46 pm

    Hello there

could someone pleae help me, i have around 25 layers in the timeline window.

If i want to change the time of the compositions to say, 25 seconds from 10 seconds, is there a quick way to drag all the layers up to the new time. Rather than having to go through each one and dragging it to the end.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

Move your CTI (current-time indicator) to the end, select all layers, then hit alt-] .

    ( opt-] on mac )

(it’s called “trimming”, by the way) Re-sizing would be making a layer appear bigger or smaller in the Comp window.

Hold down alt and hit the right square bracket key. This will trim the selected layers to the position of the CTI.

Check the help under “keyboard shortcuts”.
