  • Oh I know that disconnecting the A5-A8 will not add those audio tracks into the timeline, but what i need is to do it on the root file/in the browser , i am AE’n on this particular job (don’t ask why) and my post-sup wants those extra tracks eliminated

    do a test export (apple-E) and see if the psd still looks bad, it could be that your psd needs a full render (no grayish-green or green bar)

    Going into a 24p sequence will yes, usually throw it out of sync you need/needed to take the odd man out (1080/30p) and re-encode it thorough fcp of compressor to get it to your main format (1080/24p), One show i did in the past had the same issue on on the D-camera and I had to re-encode that cameras footage through compressor to match the rest of the footage. So once you re-encode it then you will have the option to match frame your edits

    depends if you are editing the raw encoded material or a low-res copy (example: ntsc or offline RT) if you are editing a low-res then definetly yes then when it is time to do effects, color correction etc. just batch/reconnect your media to the high-res matierial.

    make sure you click in the browser window you might be trying to search in the timeline
