I’m looking at different options for a computer that can effectively render high quality video. It also needs to be able to deal with video in large amounts (video clips over 1 hour long) I’m considering getting an iMac (specs: 2.5GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5, 1920 x 1080 resolution, 4GB (two 2GB) memory, 500GB hard drive1, AMD Radeon HD 6750M with 512MB)

Would this computer be sufficient for my video needs?

depends if you are editing the raw encoded material or a low-res copy (example: ntsc or offline RT) if you are editing a low-res then definetly yes then when it is time to do effects, color correction etc. just batch/reconnect your media to the high-res matierial.
