Sounds like a glitch with quick time player, if you have the the inspector and the movie properties window open at the same time then when you deselect any of the tracks the information will be updated in the inspector. Try toggling the tracks on and off to see if they are displayed in the inspector.

I work with C300 files all the time, you need to keep the file structure exactly the same as it is recorded to the card, which is contents/clip001/yourclips….

For some reason your clips have been moved out of the clips001 folder (but the folder is still there), and the contents folder has been renamed A2, it’s fine for you to put the contents folder in another folder called A2 but you have to keep the contents/clip001 structure in tact. You also need the journal folder which might still be in you clips001 folder, if not create a new one. You’ve still got the index.mif file so as long as you put the folder back to the original structure you should be fine

Also, I can see a few characters which will cause ama problems, change the C-300 folder to C300 or C_300 as dashes are an issue and get rid of the / after delicatessen as well.

Ah the old flickering lights, you can try premiere’s deflicker filter

I’ve never used it myself but I’ve used the BCC flicker fixer plugin in Avid to good effect. if Premiere’s in built flicker filter isn’t up to scratch you could try magic bullet.

I usually find it better to use the stabilise effect first then go into 3d warp if I need to change other parameters,

Also, you can improve results on particularly shaky shots by doing a video mixdown of a stabilised shot then applying the stabilise again on the mixdown.

If all of your ‘effected’ footage is in the same sequence one option would be match frame to the master clip, open up the selects sequence and then reverse match frame to find it on the line.

Not the most elegant solution but helpful if you have quite a large line of selects.

I’ve never had any issues with audio moving between versions. Do you have an external sound card, could it be driver issues? Have you tried altering the buffer sample in your audio settings?

Thanks for responding, at least I’m not missing anything then.

The trim tools are easily the most important toolset for me when it comes to NLE’s so hopefully they’ll improve this in the future, especially the slip tool because using the mouse is just awful.
