Add the timewarp effect, park on the clip then click the button in the top left that has the shows the man running., this will open up the speed change parameters.

The motion effect controls only become active whilst the playhead in on the clip, so you can select a clip on the timeline but if your playhead is over slug (or a clip that doesn’t have a motion effect applied to it) the motion effect controls will be inactive.

I just did a test and had no issues MacPro (not new) running 8.2 with nitis DX box, I think I read something about the new macpros having compatibility issues with media composer because of the sound card but I thought that prevented media composer from even opening, so I presume that’s fixed?

Have you tried exporting fewer channels (say just 6) to see if there’s a point when the problem occurs, we’ve just upgraded to 8.2 if I get minute I’ll try to run a test to see if we have the same problem.

Have you opened the file in quicktime player to check the channels? You could turn channels 11 and 12 off in quicktime player to see if there’s any audio playing on the others and then you could rule out the problem occurring during the import back to Avid.

Open the console in Avid (cmd 6 mac or ctrl 6 win) type AMA_ListPlugins and you’ll get a list (see pic)
Check to see if the CanonXF64 plugin is there if not you can manually install it buy dragging the plug straight into your AMA plugins folder which on a Mac is Library/Application Support/Avid/AVX2_Plugins/AMA (I don’t know the path for PC I’m afraid)
I can send the Mac version of the plugin to you by email if need it?
