Yup I’m running FCP 7.02 and losing render files all the time for no reason in Pro Res LT timeline.

Somebody suggested making all clips match sequence settings but isn\’t that what Pro Res is all about?

I haven’t lost hours I have lost days.

Nobody ever said “I must go and see that movie I hear it came in under budget.”

The guy asked where he might download a brodacst clock and there have been every possible anser except where he might do so. And then laugh at him for his imporovisation…have you guys no hearts? And then the google search that somebid suggested I tried, and it came up with no solutions. And there is a big difference between academy leader and countdowns and a proper broadcast clock

here’s a site for a PAL one and there is a guy selling them on ebay.

And then somebody derides him for his improvisation…have you guys no hearts? The google search that somebody else helpfully suggested, I tried, and it came up with no solutions. Thanks I had this problem too and found by selecting a dirrent capture input seting (such as BM 8 bit) it kind of forced FCP to remember there was a different deck in play in even I was in fact using BMDV for everything which I was doing.

It’s almost understandable though isn’t it…for once I kind of sympathise with the software.

It’s as if it’s saying “make your mind up – which deck do you want to use”

So what do you think made the RS422 start to work?

You think maybe just buggy software that sometimes installs okay and sometimes not?

You remember early FCP which did not allow you to enter serial numbers except maybe after two or three install attempts?!!

I think he may have been asking me…anyhow I can’t even get the deck to work with the decklink’s own controller so I am going to try another RS422 cable as suggested by BM and see what happens next.

I think it may be my deck but seems unusual as it was all working fine in 10.3.8 with FCP 4.5 and previosu decklink drivers.

All very tedious I mus say and i hope the solution is simple

I have the same problem with latest evrything and Decklink…and the same deck…could it be that the latest drivers do no support that deck?

I’m not sure what you mean by “mu keyspan (USB to RS422)”??…I think there must be an issue with 10.4.4 but I reinstalled OS10.4.1 and the latest drivers did not control the deck with FCP 5.01 so I have upgraded the system to the latest version of everything as that is what they always ‘recommend’.

I have had a reply from BM but all they suggested was ‘create a new user account’ and see if the problem is still there (of course it is still there..a new user account is no help!) and ‘run repair disk permissions’ – which made no difference at all.

I hope they issue a patch very soon.

What deck are you using? I am using a SonyUVW1800P
