    1. We waited MB Extreme about half year.

    2. After we got MB Extreme my RS 422 connection don’t work.

    3. Today I downloaded Multibridge 5.4 driver. After installing our MB Extreme work ONLY IN CONVERTER MODE. It ignore PCIe connection with PowerMac.

    4. Reinstalling to 5.2.3 don’t work fine. I do full clearning system from BMD rcivers and soft. After finishing all settings and rebootings FCP still cann’t output via MB Extreme. Only after running combustion with framebuffer Decklink FCP begin work with MB. It’s look like crasy. I try half day to install and reinstall 5.4 or 5.2.3.

    5. I have one PLUS – after installing/reinstalling 5.4/5.2.3 my RS 422 connection began work! I had strange things in my life but not so interesting.

    My system is:
    Quard Power Mac 4×2.5/4GB RAM/QFGX4500/Huge 4210/ATTO FC-44ES/ OS X 10.4.4, QuickTime 7.0.4
Decklink Multibridge Extreme SN: 41021/Drivers 5.2.3-5.4

So what do you think made the RS422 start to work?

You think maybe just buggy software that sometimes installs okay and sometimes not?

You remember early FCP which did not allow you to enter serial numbers except maybe after two or three install attempts?!!

Is this new driver just for Multibridge Extreme model or also works with the Multibridge HD model?
    Thanks!

Well, I foolishly installed this instead of letting others be the guinea pigs. Multibridge Extreme is now non funcitional- control panel works but no video in or out when in PCIe mode. Final Cut 5.04 now also freezes on playback since this update. I am trying to uninstall now and reintall 5.2.3. I strongly recommend that no one install 5.4 until it is fixed.

    “we’re investigating this right now . . .”

    Will wait working release.
To factualfilms – I mentioned that after several installs/reinstalls FCP store serial in system preferences and read them from HDD

Yesterday system worked OK with 5.2.3. I shotdiwn Mac and sleeped well. Today I turn ON our MAc and MB still don’t OUTPUT (with old filmware and 5.2.3). This look like a Big Joke from BMD. Will try later Instal 5.4 thet aagin 5.2.3. May be it will work. But if this will work – I need do that EVERY day? And what I will do with my editing works if I will spedn half day installing/reinstalling drivers?

    Hi,

Try and connect an SDI signal to the input. This may trigger the unit to ‘wake up’.
Must a minor firmware bug. With very annoying consequences, I agree.
Because of the time difference with Australia I was not able to get a confirmation yet, but I thought I’d just give it a shot.
