  • Multibridge Extreme not working for me…

“No Video Input” Blackmagic Splashscreen is all I’m getting right now.

I’m just going out from the Sony UVW 1800 Beta, and into the Multibridge with both video & audio. Not going though a mixing board and have no monitors hooked up right now (also no RS422 because I don’t have the right cable). Just want to play back a tape and capture on the fly, but no luck.

I’ve swapped the position of the card with the Atto UL5D but no difference. I’m working with the latest versions of QT, FCP, OSX, and Multribridge 5.2.3 download from Blackmagic site. The Multibridge is definitely getting power – the red light is on and the fan runs continuously. All connections are screwed tight, as well. The computer sees it, as it told me to update the firmware (which I did) after my installation.

The only odd thing I can think of (and I’m reaching here) is the power cable was missing from my box (the one that goes from the brick on the power cord, to the wall), so just used one from a firewire drive. Don’t think that should matter…

Any ideas, thoughts, or alternate career suggestions appreciated!

I don’t have RS422 control with my MB Extreme in FCP :-(. About “No Video Signal” I got this message always and in all systems (with Decklink Extreme (SD), Decklink HD Pro and MB Extreme) if I connect both Inputs and Outputs to tne same deck. Mey be You have same setup? Try disconnect Inputs to Decklink if You want to output to deck material, or disconnect Outputs from Decklink if You want to capture source material. It help for me 🙂

    Hi, Anthony,

i have same setup. Also tried to install 5.2.3 drivers and got the same problem. Than just reinstalled BM drivers to 5.1.2 version and Multibridge Utility to 1.52. Everything fine now. It seems like 5.2.4 drivers think that your Multibridge is the Multibridge Extreme and something wrong with it. 🙂
So, try to revert to older drivers.

Only have the inputs to Multibridge Extreme connected. No outputs right now. Thanks, though.

Thanks, Dmitry, but I am working with the Multibridge Extreme. The drivers you mentioned seem to be for Decklink. Doesn’t look like any other Multibridge Extreme options on their website.

Ruslan, hang in there! I broke down and made the call to Melbourne and got my answer (system pref – need to switch from SDI to RYBYGY + XLR AUDIO). Will see if it works tomorrow.

By the way, told them about us stray cows over here waiting for info, so hopefully you’ll hear from them soon!!!

I have the same problem with latest OS 10.4.4 and 5.4 drivers for Deckling with FCP5.04…wonder if it’s just a coincidence.

I think it’s the Bm drivers and wonder where I can get the older drivers.

I have the same problem with latest evrything and Decklink…and the same deck…could it be that the latest drivers do no support that deck?
