YMMV, I’d call HQ a standard level of pro quality. Certainly wouldn’t want to give the impression that ProRes Proxy is ok to work with as my master format. Proxy sure but online quality- no.

I’d ask for 1080p ProRes HQ and see what they say.

Kind of depends on the specific set of clips you’re trying to move. But you can nudge things with the keyboard- which can be more precise than mouse drags. The , and . keys nudge things left or right and holding down shift increases the amount of nudge.
If your selection changes around in order as you move it- you might want to make it into a compound clip to preserve that order.

Looks like you broke the compression with too much contrast etc. Moire + compression artifacts etc. This unfortunately is a good example of what separates a phone with a camera on it from a video camera.

Select All Clips- then Command R for Show/Hide Retime Editor.

Have you tried an experiment with them as PNG or 8-bit TIF? Probably a color space issue…
