Which one is it, is it incredible support or you’re “re-consider any further financial or workflow investment in Resolve” because of lack of “true” support?
There is a “true” 24/7 Resolve support and no one in the right mind would spend $15k on a yearly support on a $1k investment.
All you had to do, is to keep a copy of your system drive and you could have just reverted your resolve back to 8.0.1 in exactly 5 minutes flat. No drama… -
I’m curious the reason to upgrading to 8.1 in the middle of the project.
What feature in 8.1 was so necessary, that the upgrade was done in such a haphazard and irresponsible way? -

You call for a “professional” support, but you have no problem with updating your software in the middle of the project? Seriously?
I’m am very happy, that you’d perfectly illustrated the number one point of professional behavior – NEVER UPDATE YOUR SOFTWARE IN THE MIDDLE OF PROJECT OR USE BETA SOFTWARE IN A PRODUCTION ENVIRONMENT!!!
I bet anything, that you didn’t even bothered to back up your database, as required, before upgrading to 8.1. And that is why you can’t even go back to 8.0.1, right?
Blame yourself for what had transpired and stop besmirching Blackmagic’s product and it’s service. Or better yet, move to another platform. That is, if you can find ANYTHING even close in power, usability and , yes, GREAT service. I’m sure Blackmagic will not lose much sleep from losing your patronage.
If you have $15k to spend and you’re looking for 24/7 support, talk to Assimilate. They will be happy to take your money, that is, if they are still around in 6 months…
I hope Blackmagic would consider doing, what Red did to one of the jerks, who was refusing to behave. He was permanently banned from any kind of service by Red… -
Snow Leopard allowed to change the size of the display on per app basis. This way Resolve worked fine on PB. That command no longer works under Lion. May be someone can figure out an equivalent command for Lion?

There is no way to do it in Resolve right now, as it doesn’t utilize motion interpolation. The easiest way to do it is to open it in AE and apply Motion Blur to an X track. It is important to use a Motion Blur, as you can choose the blur direction…

How about going back to calling it daVinci then? Everyone knows daVinci. Resolve? What does it mean?

While we’re at it, I too would like to ask for a favor.
I use Smoke on the same computer as Resolve. That wold also apply to PPro, Avid MC5 etc.
Every time I change the application, I have to change monitor feeds between GTX285 and GT120. Pretty annoying. Any ideas? -

Shuttle works fine, if you program it as a global device.

Plugged in the MC Color using DHCP, updated firmware, installed Eucon software, selected it in Resolve, done. Not a single issue with connection, ever.
The most important issue, is the Eucon software has to be running BEFORE you use Resolve. If you do it otherwise, then above mentioned switching back and forth trick takes care of that.
