if you do a clean install of both the os and fcp it’s safe. I work with the same setup and since the last updates of XDCAM Transfer everything works as it should.
I found some sort of solution. Control + click in the upper timeline display of the sequence window. You’ll get all your sequence markers listed. So displaying the sequence markers in the browser seems impossible, but this works.
thanks for your response John. This works,(I selected from in to out alt+A, that does not work since it becomes a sequence subclip) but the only funny thing is that my audio tracks change when i do this: track 6 becomes track 1, 5 becomes 2 etc.
I use the same technique sometimes. But only in situations where I can let the PCMd50 roll for the entire time of the filming (i.e. I do not stop the seperate audio recorder, it’s gonna produce a long audio track…).
I set my camera timecode to the time of day. The first shot I do is a sync marker (hand clap)
In FCP I sync the first shot and the entire track of the sony recorder (on the clap). Since I know the timecode of the sync marker in the video, I replace the timecode of the separate audio track.
After that I can put every video shot in the corresponding timecode of the PCMD50. Works ok.
It could be Mac OSX Snow Leopard. I had the same problem. XDCT is not yet supported for Snow Leopard. I downgraded to Leopard and the thumbnails worked fine again.
