    Hi,
My FCP 7 keeps crashing. I repaired permission, trashed prefs, nothing helps.
this is the report I get when FCP crashes
(a small exceprt, it pages lng and this seemd to me the most relevant text)

Interval Since Last Report: 210125 sec
    Crashes Since Last Report: 14
Per-App Interval Since Last Report: 157204 sec
Per-App Crashes Since Last Report: 14
    Anonymous UUID: 4416FB7E-2FDC-43BB-B582-2FE9DA98642C

    Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGBUS)
    Exception Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE at 0x0000000000000000
    Crashed Thread: 218

does anyone understand what is wrong, or do I simply need to do a clean install of system and FCP? (i am afraid I know the answer…)

    btw, I run Macos 10.6.2
    2x 2.8 Ghz Mac Pro
    16 GIG RAM

    thanks for thinking,
    Jaap

    Hi Jaap

I have the same problem at the moment do you already have a solution for this problem. I think it has something to do with HD, or working with motion files in the timeline.

    Who can solve this?

I did a clean install and the problem was solved. I think it had to do with plugins that were incompatible with the new system
