You can use motion path in a similar way in After Effects. As RoRK suggests you can use paths. Another option is to use Motion Sketch. Use the Help function in AAE and do a search on Motion path and you will be enlightened.

I use a Logitech MX 1100, and unfortunately, USB Overdrive does not support the latest Logitech cordless mouses. I have to downgrade. But USB Overdrive seems very useable.
