You know how flash has a feature where you can create a motion guide to direct an object’s motion? Is there something similar to that in after effects?

    Thanks

NI’m not familiar with Flash but if it’s a 2D path, you can use a mask to draw out a path for your layer.

You can use motion path in a similar way in After Effects. As RoRK suggests you can use paths. Another option is to use Motion Sketch. Use the Help function in AAE and do a search on Motion path and you will be enlightened.
