    Hello,

I would like to start(bit by bit)modelling this character http://www.tworks.be
Where can i found tutorials for modeling (good)character?
How would i start with it?
I have the original drawings to put on the back and model over it. IS this the right way?

    Thanks

    Peace

This is a very good tutorial: https://www.3dtotal.com/ffa/tutorials/max/joanofarc/joanmenu.asp

It’s written for 3dsMax, but it’s easily translated to Cinema’s tools.

    Nice,
But isnt there anything specific for c4d?
Also, in this tut they start with the feet. Isnt it better to start with the head? Or isnt it?

    Peace

What would be the best method to build a character?
    Starting with the head>body
    or body>head
or create parts, like i see in most tutorials(noise, eyes, legs) and then paste everything together?

    Peace

There’s really no best way to do it–just depends on what you prefer. There are two basic methods for character modeling (not including NURBS): one is point-by-point, where you build up a character by laying down points and then bridging them together to form polys; the other is box modeling, where you start with a primitive and form it into your character using knife cuts and extrusions. Even if you start out with the point-by-point method it tends to converge with the box modeling method once the basic mesh is layed out, i.e., you then begin cutting new edge loops, doing extrusions, etc.

Ok thanks Renderwise for the links
Thanks to Adam for the advice!

One thing before i start: Do i model the entire figure with clothes, or do i first make the body and then model the clothes sepretly?

    Pce

First the body, then the clothes. Check the the clothilde tutrioals at c4dcafe.
