Do you want to start that from scratch or you have some material on your own to begin with?

that’s a loooot of work… I thin there are a lot of pre comps ahd the camera always searchs for a black point that fades in the new comp…

obviously they use different things like a little 3d and light intensity changes that, along with the animation, follow the beat…

if anyone has something to add, i’d be glad, I think this clip is a masterpiece from 2001/2 somewhere around that..

you can compile all these videos toghether, precomp, distort a little the centre to the back (or do it manually), use particle illusion to find that smoke, and trapcode ‘s particular to generate the particles thatt go into the rotated logo…

i would not go for the distortion though…

anyway there might be a faster way to do thar, but I think that can be pretty fast and give you good rsults..

btw, do not forget to use lots of masks to reveal the video columns

just as I thought… anyway, there is another way to handle something like that, but it is very complicated and the outcome is not the same…

    Create text w/ dashed line

    —————————–

    make a path

go to the text animator/ move along path.

animate start and End… Check your font type, size and spacing…

    There you go!

that is simple, apply wave world to a solid *using high map, work on the depth of the caustic and then flip the layer a bit with basic 3d…
duplicate the footage layer, precomp it with the solid layer on top.
on the precomp mask out the floor so you make sure custics wont effect the rest of the footage…

you can wiggle the unmasked bottom footage layer so it answers to the effect…

that is how i would do it
