July 29, 2008 at 7:53 amHi Samuel,
I tried something out and it’s definitely going to work with the ECHO effect. Check out this quick 5 min work test video:

You can just create an outline of the text using illustrator or photoshop. Import it to your project. Just animate the text the way you want. So change the text or camera position. (or scale up the text)
Apply the ECHO effect to the text layer and set Keyframes for the number of echo’s. play around with the opacity of the text layer to get the “shine through effect”
Turn on the motion blur for more realism, and you’re done!
Good Luck!

July 30, 2008 at 10:07 amYou many not need to make your text in AI or Photoshop, try making text with an outline and no fill. Add a glow to your text.
Yes, use repeater, and try the Add blend mode.Aaron Rabinowitz (sorry if I spelled it wrong, Aaron) just did a tutorial on the Repeater effect, so it should get you up to speed on that effect.
The rest is just tweaking and those fancy camera moves. I’m not sure but I hope the repeater effect is 3D so you can get those changes in perspective.
