I have Decklink HD Extreme on 5.5.1 instaled in a machine where was previous drivers 5.4.2 and SD Extreme PCI-X. ( those drivers was uninstalled prior to removing SD Extreme card.)
I am also heaving same problems with capture in Premeire Pro 2. When I try to capture from YUV input from Betacam SP machine over RS 422 my PC goes to hard reset. It goes to reset in a moment when I press any button on a machine control interface of PPro2 capture or if Betacam machine is in stand by mode as soon comes up PPro resets my PC. After that I have uninstalled drivers, remove any instance of BMD & DeckLink in registry and install all over again 5.5.1. Now system dont reset, but I can’t capture at all, can’t open new project when some project is already open, and can’t change any preferences. When I try one of those things PPro become non responsive. Today I will format C….. (cure for everthing) -

Can you change this RS 422 capture driver interface inside premiere pro 2 that has no actual time code readings (like in 5.4.2 drivers)? It is anoying that you must enter TC manually. -
Not with iSCSI. I have their NAS Enterprise solution. It is very simple to configure (advanced settings are very powerful but I mostly dont use them), and so far (6 months) no problems. It is realy plug&play 1 hour to put all hardware together and 1/2 to configure the thing. Read their system hardware recommendations for compatibility. Their have reacently updated their software and more stuff is compatible. I have server for 4 audio DAWs on gLAN and we are getting 60-70MB/s from this system with no problems. System is Supermicro x5daeg2, single Xeon 3GHz, 1 GB RAM, 3Ware 9550SX&BBU RAID 5, 8xWD250 SATA2.

March 3, 2006 at 10:05 am in reply to: Independent 4 Channel Audio-Routing via SDI to sony digibeta-recorder: IS THAT POSSIBLE ?Me too. I wish for SDI Input 4 channels ( or 2 stereo pairs ) and output routing to 4 ch in PPro. My daily bussines is like yours. And also wish for BMD Asio input that shows 8 ch in any asio audio compatible aplication.
PS
You can output 8 channels thru sdi in Nuendo 3 and route them as you like (or i presume, in any similar asio audio aplication.) In Nuendo you can also put video on time line and master your tapes. But you cannot record anything! -
I think is PPro 2 issue! In 1.5 was OK, and there was Decklink driver for 422 control. In PPro 2 is Premiere 422 control over BMD 422 port. Drive me mad too because its inconsistent.

Try TmpgEnc2.5 Plus. This can transcode any avi to 422@ML 10bit and at max 2pass 80Mbps.

You can download trial. Excellent product. Has MPEG Editing function as a bonus.Never use it at this rate, but for DVD picture is brilliant.
