I’m having problems with the 5.5.1 Drivers for Decklink SP Windows and Premiere Pro 1.5. Any time I add any transition to the timeline I get the “Sorry, a serious error has occured that requires Adobe Premiere Pro so shut down” error message and occasionally all audio output will cease and I have to reboot the system. I’ve tried rolling back to the last set of stable drivers for my system (5.4.2) but I’m still having the problem. The system was stable before and I had a gut feeling to jusst leave it alone, but for some strange reason I felt compelled to update the drivers. I’m using the Decklink DV settings and capturing from a PD-150 if it helps. And I followed all the usual steps for removing and installing the drivers.

Well I finally got it to successfully roll back to the 5.4.2 drivers and everything seems stable again.

I have also had problems with 5.5 and 5.5.1. When I tried to open the capture module, the computer did a cold boot. Going back to 5.4.2 fixed it. I went to 5.5 because it was supposed to recognize DV machines.

At first I couldn’t get 5.4.2 to work when I reinstalled it but realized that when I was installing it I was allowing the installation program to retain newer *.dll’s, etc. By asking they be replaced with older files, all was well.

I don’t see many complaints about this problem so I have assumed it is limited to the DL SP (and possibly other older cards) and that I’m one of the few left using such ancient technology.

Sometimes it’s easier to work around problems.

I have Decklink HD Extreme on 5.5.1 instaled in a machine where was previous drivers 5.4.2 and SD Extreme PCI-X. ( those drivers was uninstalled prior to removing SD Extreme card.)
I am also heaving same problems with capture in Premeire Pro 2. When I try to capture from YUV input from Betacam SP machine over RS 422 my PC goes to hard reset. It goes to reset in a moment when I press any button on a machine control interface of PPro2 capture or if Betacam machine is in stand by mode as soon comes up PPro resets my PC. After that I have uninstalled drivers, remove any instance of BMD & DeckLink in registry and install all over again 5.5.1. Now system dont reset, but I can’t capture at all, can’t open new project when some project is already open, and can’t change any preferences. When I try one of those things PPro become non responsive. Today I will format C….. (cure for everthing)

I can’t possibly send a 6MB file through email. Someone’s server will choke.
