May 5, 2006 at 3:13 pmI had that problem, i fixed by two ways
1) Che the lastest video card driver.
2) create a new user profile in windows, ej admistrator or nik, and run programs without problem, otherwise you could delete \my documentes\adobe\premire pro\2.0\styles\workingset.prsl
and reinstall repair decklink driversby other way i found that the desinstaller of 5.4.x doesent delete the files from 1.5 but yes of 2.0 so when you install 5.5.x you finds that ppro 2.0 works but 1.5 crashes.
i think blackmagic need to make a decklinkdelete utiliti for all drivers so you can install on a fresh system

May 7, 2006 at 6:58 amI did all like Nikolas. It helps partialy. Now I can capture, but it goes to reset after closing capture window. I can now change settings, open new projects in an open existing project…I will do format and post again.
Thanks

May 7, 2006 at 7:11 pmA Fresh System is thew best for these weird cases, also i rather take off the DL card isntall all system drivers, programs and then plug the card and install only the lastest drivers,

May 10, 2006 at 8:53 pmI did that today and still having crashes on capture window in PPro2.
I will try to nail the problem with changing raid controller to another PCIX slot and if that fails change VGA card with some other. I have update motherboard bios before clean install and I have use all the latest drivers. Tommorow I will send my systems nfo to BMD support. -

May 11, 2006 at 10:16 pmHello,
I have the same problem with an Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe motherboard and Premiere 2.0. As soon as I attempt to capture (or even if an input is present while Premiere is open) the machine cold-boots or locks up completely. It would seem only the latest (5.51) drivers will work with the Decklink HD Extreme so I wasn’t able to try earlier versions as suggested earlier in the thread.
This ASUS motherboard is certified to work with this card (as stated on the black magic website) so I’m assuming that can’t be the problem!
Any suggestions most welcome as this is very frustrating!
