Update MB bios. New machines from Asus often come with old bios. Old bios of that motherboard is not Dual core compatible! System disk and install boot CD rom disk if they are PATA they must be on non raided ATA port for proper win xp install and boot. Also as previous stated check your ram modules (put them in non paired slots maybe). I hope this helps. If somebody tells me this before I have install my Dualcore on P5WD2 it saves me 12 hours of useless instalation and swaping staff in my machine to solve conflicts that dont exists…Happy tweaking

  • I have set Decklink card as 2.nd desktop, place the explorer vindow on it and run swf file. While file is running I have capture this to Betacam tape. After that I have recapture this video to uncompressed timeline from Betacam tape and speed the video to a proper frame rate. It is not quite good as all stated before ( wrong frame rate, blocky picture, etc ) but is most efficient way if you have this hardware.

Try Preferences/Audio Hardware/ switch from Decklink Audio to Premiere Pro Windows Sound.
Now mixed format timeline plays audio fine. ( There is no BMD QT timeline in PPro, only uncompressed or DV )

Nuendo 3 support qt playback thru DL BMD cards. So you dont need another machine for this, and you dont need TC.
If you need TC and if this is captured from a betacam, you can record TC as one channel of audio.
Or put your finished video to betacam, and capture back with tc as one audio channel.

    PS
If you use it like you want from two computers, you have to have some transport controls for video one because this one is a master for cubase.

    Chris,
Contact BMD support. They solved this crashing issue. They have new beta drivers that works for me.
Thanks BMD. Great work. I am preparing email for Andrew…

Chris, do you have problems with black glitches and audio poping?

Disable black video out in Decklink control. Now you can here what you are capturing. Levels you can see only in Decklink capture aplication and only for preview and not in Premiere.

I did that today and still having crashes on capture window in PPro2.
I will try to nail the problem with changing raid controller to another PCIX slot and if that fails change VGA card with some other. I have update motherboard bios before clean install and I have use all the latest drivers. Tommorow I will send my systems nfo to BMD support.

I did all like Nikolas. It helps partialy. Now I can capture, but it goes to reset after closing capture window. I can now change settings, open new projects in an open existing project…I will do format and post again.
    Thanks
    Igor
