With BMD Decklink SD Extreme PCIx on CS3 and xp64 you cant have more than 2GB of ram. Card or driver want start or install drivers. Can anyone confirm that this is solved with this release of drivers and cs4?

It worked last time I check with HD extreme and in Nuendo 3. Watch out for machine specs for HD unc video. Mjpeg eats some of processor power but is more handy for audio studio. Check out Nuendo forum, there is a lot of info about this subject. We are using different kind of mjpeg for our 3 audio suites almost 10 years now. Because we have to work with Nuendo 2 we are using two nvidia PCIE graphic cards with TV out in one machine (instaed of matrox)so we have 2 desktop monitors and one TV on every machine. Picture is not ideal but its safe service wise. You can buy them if they fail on every corner.

I have not use it this way, but once I forgot to watch my ingest it didn’t stop at the end of recording, and also never stops on TC breaks on some other tapes. Intensity has also some special app for ingesting but I have not use it. All my capture was done with PPro2.

Intensity has no RS422 control. You have to use some external one.

Last week I have captured 20 hours of HDV tapes that way. I have also enable downconwert on input because my final is SD, and I have captured all in MJPEG. It works, and real time downconvert is very good.

You can’t control deck thru HDMI. You are controling your deck with Intesity only thru FireWire. In your capture application you have to use apropriate BMD setup and choose DV/HDV device for control (before capture you have to connect both cables HDMI and FireWire!) or make your own one.

  • I have this problem also, I hope this is solved in this 6.3 release

I have asked them several times. No luck so far. Latest drivers also has problems with Media player, and dont support playback in Nuendo 2. I was also try to export PPro timeline with 8 tracks to IMX machine thru SDI, but also no way in one pass.

  • In media player, audio is out of sync with video. Driver 611 also dont work with Nuendo 2. Too bad!
