    Helllo
if i playback an audiofile ( mp3, or wavefile 48khz) via bmd-extreme spdif-directsound ( using windows mediaplayer 10 and zoomplayer 5.0 , default direct sound-audiodevice in windows-system setting is set to decklink ) there is always a cracking noise during playback
this problem appears only with driver 6.1. With driver 6.0 and below everything is fine.
Win xp Sp2 Pal-World all patches and updates….
    Sorry for my horrible english

    Hello,

I am running Vista Ultimate 32bit, with Multibridge Extreme PCI-E. I am runnining the latest Drivers 6.1.2. If I play any music from Media Player, I-Tunes etc then I get stuttering sound, also the same if I am playing a music cd from the drive as well. My system specs are on my profile.

If I use Adobe Audition 2.0, or Premeire Pro 2.0 and change the sound output settings in those software from default Windows audio to Declink Audio the stuttering sound disappears.

If I have default Windows audio drivers selected in the sound output device in both software I get theat same problem, only way to fix it is that I change to Deckilnk audio.

However I can’t seem to work out this sound issue with Windows Media Player, Adobe Bridge etc. On Windows XP no problem sound was fine system wide, just seems with Vista so not sure if a mix of Vista and the Multibridge.

Has anyone else had similar problems? I emailed Blackmagic tech support a while back now but have not had a reply. Hope someone else has had this problem and found a work-around.

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Hi,
Yep i’m having the same problem with the Multibridge Pro.
Audio in Media Player is out of sync and dropping out and with
Adobe Audition i have the cracking noises. Like has been said above
it appears to have started since the new driver has been installed.
i would love a fix soon if anyone can help.
    Cheers.

    Hi Oli,

Thank you for your report. We’ve replicated the problem so we should have it fixed in the DeckLink 6.2 drivers which are due very soon. In the meanwhile, reverting to DeckLink 6.1 or earlier drivers appears to avoid the problem.

    Hi Luke,

Is the problem I am experiencing the same as well? If I use windows XP PRO with the Multibridge drivers then sound in perfect in all applications.

I am receiving the sound problems like I mentioned. Any idea work arounds?

    Thanks,

    Leo
