    Hello,

I am using Premiere Pro 2, Decklink Pro and a Sony DVW 500 ap to export to tape.

It is a 25 frames per second project and pal. I have a movie start delay of 3 frames.
The strange thing is that the ident starts exactly on 1 minute 40 seconds. That is as
is in the premiere project. Now the movie itself should then start at 2 minutes exactly,
as in the project. But it doesn’t, well sometimes it does. Or it is 1 frame to late. or
exactly. But it is random. Tapes are written black in a good way. And i tried LTC only, Vitc only or LTC and VITC together. Nothing works.

Any idea ? Or is the Blackmagic Pro not frameaccurate ? 🙁 hope not.

I think is PPro 2 issue! In 1.5 was OK, and there was Decklink driver for 422 control. In PPro 2 is Premiere 422 control over BMD 422 port. Drive me mad too because its inconsistent.

    Same issue here!
Unable to playout ( assemble) or insert frame accurat to tape. The sony digibeat-tapes are fresh out of the box. Everytime 1 or 2 frames delay ( Sony DVW 500 P Digibeta-Recorder). The same issue appears last year with PrP 1.5 , Decklink Driver 4.8 (?)and Pal-Digibeta-Mashines… 🙁

    By the way:
I am still waiting for compressed Avi editing! ( Since 2 Jears)
I DO NOT NEED EVERYTIME 10 or 8 BIT UNCOMPRESSED AVIS! These files are too large if you are working with a lot of material .And the decklink DV-Mode is not a good solution. You getting in trouble with Field-order if you start a compositing in after effects and try to combine upper( like my old Matrox Digisuite Files) and lower (DV) field material.( i have a lot upper field Key/Fil-Avis, Matrox Motion-JPGs and Quiktimes , which i need every day for compositing )

So the most time i need a compressed Upper-field 8 bit avis for my workflow.
The most nonlinear ( PRO) Edtiting Software/Hardware can do that!

AVid, FCP, Matrox AXIO, Pinnacle Blue/Silver…..

What is the problem to integrate that funktion?

    Sorry for my horrible english
    Oli
