Didnt even know there was a Compression Techniques forum! Thanks!

The problem being, using a third party compressor, essentially doubles the amount of time i spend getting the damn thing to screen.

    A complete ball ache!

    Cheers

Cheers all, i will have a look at the avid codecs.

“The only reason to render out a separate fill and matte layer is if you’re delivering the elements on tape”

I wont be delivering on tape, but could someone give me an insight as to how to render a matte layer all the same. I have had a google but couldnt find anything.

    Cheers

Not sure they will go for the png idea, but thanks all the same, they are using avid and get a bit funny over formats…

August 26, 2009 at 10:16 am in reply to: Export to FLV cs4 help – again!

    Have sorted this now.

Re installed the Adobe Flash Video Encoder from CS3, and the FLV option reappeared in the Export menu in CS4.

Im guessing that Adobe Flash Video Encoder has now been replaced in CS4 by the Adobe Media Encoder?

Either way, if you have CS3 you can fix it. Just do a custom install and only install the Adobe Flash Video Encoder from CS3.

If anybody knows any other programmes that would add this function it might be worth mentioning them here as not everyone will have CS3.

    cheers
