Patrick,
I took a look at the ARRI Kits and so far I like what I see. They seem to be very portable but appear to produce tons of heat? Am I correct? The Kino sales rep. recommended the Kino Flo Diva Light 400 2 Light Kit. I may need additional lighting, but it’s a good start. What do you think? -
Hi Rick, thanks for responding. You’re absolutely right, quite a few of my locations will have a significant amount of light from nearby windows. On the other hand, the studio has no windows. I took your advice and tried to order the Kino lights but was advised they’re not very portable (which I do require). I was steered to the Lowell DP Super Remote Kit, what do you think?
I would love to go with LED’s, but I don’t know where to start.I appreciate your time,

June 25, 2008 at 4:47 pm in reply to: PP2.0 & Boris Graffiti 5 Composition = Not able to Export as MPEG2Dave, when I try to render I get a “video Preview Error” box with the following message, “Error compiling movie. Unknown Error”. The strange this is, if I adjust the work area to a point AFTER the Boris effect it renders flawless so this would lead me to think there’s something wrong with the specific effect I’m trying to use. Any other ideas?
Thank you,

Steven, you’re absolutely right, the footage does display more grain. I was hoping there was a easy way to fix this but I guess in the future I need to shoot with better lighting.

October 31, 2007 at 6:18 pm in reply to: I need a “User Friendly” titler/animation softrare.I really appreciate the input from everone. I’ve learned alot. My only regret is I didn’t ask this question before I made my purchase, silly move on my behalf. By watching a few tutorials on youtube it’s obvoius I should have gone with AE. It seems to have pretty much everything I’l looking for (animated text, aimnations, and some really cool graphics).
Scott – I find PPRO’s titling rather simple to use but I was looking for something a more robust.
Maybe I should have described in more datail what I’m attempting to acclomplish. I’m producing a variety of fifteen minute video segments for our in-house TV Channel. Some of these segments are, Golf Tips, Tennnis Tips and Gardening Tips, just to name a few. What I would like to do is create a intro clip for each segment. For example, the tennis segment would have tennis balls bouncing around while the text “Tennis Tips with XYZ” glides on screen. Could AE produce such a effect?
Thank you for taking the time to reply.
