Ah yes. I notice (looking at MP4 file Properties) that the frame rate on the iPhoneX video is 36 fps. And on the YT rip is 30 pfs. The audio rate is 44k, my project is set to 48k.
So, somewhere there may be the answer/reason.Thanks for your help.

But it happens on the videos shot on my iPhoneX also. That’s why I thought it must be Vegas Pro doing something …. (on these I clap at the start so I can sync)

Hmmmm … I’ll need to use trial and error; because it’s hard to match this on my Preview Window. But I’ll nudge it bit by bit to get it right and Render small parts to check.Any idea why this is happening? And how to prevent it?

Ah, I think I get it.
You mean, instead of having static images of the call outs with Transparent background in my call outs ‘library’ … create a library of animated video clips. Right?

I’m stuck t understanding what ‘ my idea of rendering an ALPHA channel Callout ‘ means. Can you explain?
At the moment, I draw the circle(s) on my iPad Pro with Apple Pencil, with transparent background and use it on my timeline.

Aha. I got it to work with Track Motion (instead of Pan/Crop).
But there’s one problem with this. Track Motion applies to the whole track – not just the clip. I expect to have several of these ‘call outs’ on one track and they could be anywhere on the canvas. So ideally, I’d want to be applying the transition to a clip, rather than the whole track.
So, I’m still looking.
I still think Pan/Crop should give me what I want (common sense), if only I knew what box I’m ticking that is making the animation centre the centre of the canvas rather than the centre of the image/clip.

That’s an MP4 from a sample I made in PowerPoint. The circle and the arrow are the main ‘call outs’ I tend to need.
